Portfolio

​When I begin a work of art, it always starts the same. I grab a pencil, create a sketch, rinse, and repeat. I usually go through this process multiple times. Once I have my final sketch, I decide on my canvas and my materials. Starting with a pencil allows me to begin a piece without pressure. I can erase what I do not like and reinforce what I do. Oil paint is one of my favorite materials to work with. It teaches me patience and allows me to take my time and create layers, like chapters in a book.
